Making the Invisible Visible

My approach to the tattoo experience is through the lens of listening to a story that longs to be shared. We all carry backgrounds filled with wounds and beautiful memories. Sometimes, we close a big chapter, grieve a loved one, or end a relationship, letting parts of us die. Other times, we open and bloom into a new phase, celebrating transitions and empowerment after difficult times.

When we feel the call for a physical transformation through a tattoo, we intentionally honor and make visible these life aspects.

I love and am honored to be part of this process, using universal elements from nature in all forms—animals, botanical elements, and celestial bodies—as well as the simplest shapes like dots and lines. Together, we create a simple yet rich artistic composition that reflects the unique internal universe that is you and your story.

“Got a pretty large piece done by Santiago a few years back. I’m from Texas and was traveling through the Portland area while on a trip visiting a friend. It was my first large piece and Santiago did a great job helping me bring it to life. It was everything I asked for and more. He was so kind and seemed just as emotionally attached to the piece as I was, which I appreciated. I’m definitely looking forward to getting another piece soon.”

“It was such a pleasure getting an ornamental piece from Santiago. I came with a rough idea and he creatively added his artistry and style to it, which was what I hoped for and more. The studio had a great vibe and lots of natural light. He took his time on sizing and was a perfectionist to the symmetry of placement, which is so so appreciated. It was such a great experience from the moment I walked thru the door. It has healed so beautifully. I intend to return for more in the future!”

“Santiago is one of the best tattoo artists I've ever worked with or whose work I've seen! I have 7 tattoos from other artists on the west coast, but the tattoo that he did is my favorite -- and I have gotten so many compliments on it. I wanted a fineline tattoo of specific flowers on my arm, and he created a beautiful piece of art while delicately incorporating (not covering up) a tattoo I already had in that space. The studio space is beautiful and calm, and feels very inviting. I can't recommend Santiago and this studio enough! I hope to go back someday!”
